Southern News Photography Humor Award

"Nice Legs, But Can She Run?": I love humor and was tickled by the way the dog from this photo seemed intent on watching the horses at the Carolina Cup. I've got to admit an affinity for the occasional touch of humor. I can't help but smile when a ring bearer can't quite stifle a yawn or a flower girl hides her eyes during the post wedding ceremony kiss. I love to see couples' reactions to those humorous wedding moments especially when they see them for the first time in their wedding pictures. It's all part of their wedding day story we tell with RIM Photography. This photo placed in the Southern News Photography competition. Photo by Renee Ittner-McManus, RIM Photography, specializing in telling the story of your South Carolina wedding through compelling wedding photojournalism.

Southern News Photography Sports Feature Award

"Tight End": Loved these woman checking out the Gamecock's tight end! I love to laugh and am always on the lookout for endearing moments when I'm photographing a wedding or other event. One of my approaches to photographing South Carolina weddings is keeping an eye on the people (or in this case, dog) in the periphery. Their expressions as they watch the wedding couple add another layer to the rich context of wedding photojournalism. So while you'll get hundreds of wedding photos of you and your new spouse, you'll also get gracious plenty pictures of the people you love. How your family and friends react to you is just part of the story-telling approach we take with RIM Photography. This photo placed in the Southern News Photography competition. Photo by South Carolina wedding photographer Renee Ittner-McManus. RIM Photography specializes in photojournalism-style wedding photography in Columbia, Hilton Head Island and all points in between.

Portrait/Personality Atlanta Photojournalism Award

"A Brother Lost:" I'm drawn to children at weddings, especially the introspective ones. I enjoy the interaction between the bride, bridesmaids and the flower girl, especially as they all get ready together. The wonder and anticipation is evident as youngest bridal party member keeps a keen eye on the "big girls" and primps alongside, readying for her wedding debut. This photo placed in the Atlanta Photojournalism competition. Photography by Renee Ittner-McManus, RIM Photography, specializing in Columbia, SC wedding photography and Hilton Head wedding photography. Serving all of South Carolina.

"Family Legacy": I love family tradition. This photo is actually of my infant daughter's hand wearing the ring passed down from her great-grandmother. Weddings also offer the legacy of so may traditions passed down through the generations. Whether it's the cultural wedding tradition of a penny in the shoe, a famlly tradition of carrying a century-old handkerchief or a locket with a grandparent's portrait pinned to the bouquet, I treat those details with the dignity they deserve. These special touches in your wedding help tell the story of you, so you'll find our wedding photography not only captures the big moments but the small sweet details that say so much about your wedding day. This photo placed in the Atlanta Photojournalism competition. Renee Ittner-McManus with RIM Photography, is a South Carolina wedding photojournalist photographing weddings in Columbia, SC, Hilton Head Island and destination weddings throughout South Carolina.
